Tree Cover Records has meant many things to a handful of Harrisburg, PA kids over the last half decade. It has emerged in recent months as a cassette/digital label run by myself, Caleb Cossick.
"Hi!" n . n
I enjoy the integrity and dedication that a do-it-yourself approach asks of me. I truly love to work and I guess DIY is the most rewarding work ethic that I've found. I am an extremely idealistic person.
"Working is fun" ' u '
I have been forced to acknowledge that we're all in this together. I want to meet people, promote inspiring art, and support progressive lifestyles while trying to lead one myself.
"Friends are fun-er" :P
Let's make cool shit happen together.

After a few years of hiatus, Tree Cover Records is returning to the fray! We're kicking things off with the release of Uwue's full length, Sanctuary on CD and Cassette. These handcrafted tapes were put together by Caleb over the last few weeks. We're ultra excited to finally start distributing artists from Harrisburg and beyond. More releases to come! The first volume of Stand Under My Tree is a little publication we put together to inform folks about the background and mission of Tree Cover Records. We plan to continue releasing these books periodically, each themed around one of our projects or some other Hburg specific vibeage. Keep your eyes out for them on our site and at shows. If you're craving a copy here's a hint: paper copies will be available with any physical purchase from our catalog or for $1 a piece at shows. They are also included in all first-time promotional packets for all you bloggers and dj's out there. Or just get in touch with us if you'd like a copy. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy a digitized version in the Gallery section. Or from the link below. . . Stand Under My Tree [Vol I] We're keeping the action coming with the release of the 2nd single from Uwue. Light and Skin / Go Away will be released worldwide on April 20th. Like last time, we'll be hawking physical copies a few nights ahead of time in Hburg, this time at a second Uwue performance and listening party at The Makespace on 3rd St. Pricing, and purchase outlets are identical to the first single, and of course we're going to be rolling out with wax and tape for as long as we can afford it. See you on 420 (to preemptively get that out of the way). We are ecstatic to announe the impending release of Uwue's first single It's All Lore / Slient Wave and our first release! The single will be availalbe on 7'' vinyl, cassette, and digital formats beginning April 2nd. Physical copies will be available March 30th at a free Uwue performance and listening party in Harrisburg at Little Amps Coffee Roasters on Green St. Beginning April 2nd the 7'' and cassette will be available for purchase on this Web site and on our Bandcamp site. The price will be $5 for vinyl and $3 for cassette. All purchases will include a free digital download from Bandcamp which can be redeemed upon reciept. Physical orders will also include free stickers and, potentially, other Tree Cover goodies. On the digital front, the single will be available for immediate download on Bandcamp, ITunes, and most other major online digital music vendors beginning April 2nd. In tandem with our first proper release and subsequent introduction as an 'up and running' record label, we've rolled out a re-vamped version of the Web site. There are a few new sections: Roster: Info, pictures, and links for each and every one of the artists on our growing roster. Note: Album cover links will redirect to our Bandcamp site for audio sampling. Store: A fully functional online store to facilitate direct purchase of all future music releases, merchandise, art, and trinkets. Note: Items put into your shopping cart will remain saved on whatever computer you were using to shop for one month's time. Gallery: A section for the presentation of any and all visual content we want to share. This could include artist promotional pictures, photos from events, or scanned art / zines. Blog: A direct feed from our tumblr blog. All previous News entries from our embarassing, disorganized past have been retained for posterity (amusement) and reorganized by year. Browse. Enjoy. The announcement is late but the bill is excellent for this month's 3rd Friday show at the Orange Room. Come out, see what's going down, and get to know some folks. We'll have plenty of free copies of the Co-Operative
Music Manifesto so be sure to pick one up if you haven't yet.

See you at the Orange Room
*first Orange Room performance by this new Tree Cover artistIn December we did an interview with the good folks from 'The Burg' magazine, a community paper for the Hburg region. The subsequent article has been featured in this month's issue and features some 'fleshing out' of our mission for those
who may be interested. Look for it in restaurants and coffee joints around town.
Here is the article for your e-reading pleasure. Come out this Friday and see some soul, some funk, some fusion, and some Uwue. Aunt Jasmine
and The Connection join us for a night of dance-inducing local music. See you at the Orange Room. Fliers are up around Midtown for his month's show at The Orange Room. It's our ongoing goal to connect creative folks from the area with people who will be interested in what they're doing so shoot us an email if you know of anyone who may be interested in performing in the coming months. If you are able to make it out this month invite your friends and help us to spread the word about the Orange Room.

Hot Jam FactoryWe're excited to announce that we'll be hosting another show at The Orange Room
as part of November's '3rd in the Burg'. Fliers will be up in Midtown this week. We're working with a number of other local acts to host this
free night of music. It's our hope that by continuing to put these kind of shows together each month we'll start to see an organic music community develop in Harrisburg. Too much of the interesting music
in this area is forced to the proverbial back-burner because drink or 'ticket' sales constitute the actual bottom line. We'd like to see an alternative: one with music, community, and collaboration at its heart.
So come out and join us free of charge from 7pm to 10pm this 3rd Friday. Hope to see some new faces.

Posiedon's TridentAbout a month ago, we realized this site wasn't oferring much in the way of a personal experience of our operation. We decided to make some changes to faciliate
a more in-depth look at who we are and what we're up to. We've taken the first step by adding a bio about each of us to the 'About' page. Expect more additions
and (hopefully) some Tree-Cover-hosted free shows at the Orange Room in the comming months. We are pumped (and psyched) to announce the first Tree Cover artist show.
Friday, September 16th Uwue will be packing up, leaving the practice room, and moving next door to play in the Orange Room (8pm and 930pm). Fliers are up in Midtown and beyond. There is no cover so
what reason would there be to NOT hear new local music this coming 3rd Friday? A Tree Cover sign will be posted on Verbeke street at the turn in for parking (there's plenty behind the church).
Hope to see you there.
Directions to the showWhile the ink is still wet on our legally binding business-style Tree Cover agreement we would like to introduce ourselves. We are Caleb Cossick, Jake Kauffman, and Stephen Haas: TC Partners.
It's our hope that some new and interesting things can start to happen in Harrisburg and the surrounding area as we work to make it a place where you can walk down the street
and hear something you may never have heard before, and may not be able to hear anywhere else. Who knows at this point. To kick things off we're booking shows for Caleb's project Uwue.
Here's to the Harrisburg Sound.

The Tree Cover roster is friends, co-workers, collaborators, and dreamers working in real time or across the Web. Many live and work in Harrisburg PA. Others are spread across PA and beyond. Some are involved, in some capacity, with more than one of the bands/projects below.
links Matt Blubaugh hails from the suburbs of Philadelphia, performing and recording music under the name fiendlings. The sound of fiendlings is very much low-fi experimentation, often not removing natural occurring sound from recording, like electricity or insects, but rather incorporating them into the music. Everything comes from a place where the outside influence remains present, like a wave that is snug around your waist. In his most recent endeavor, SLOG, Matt attempts to transmute the emotions that derive from routine and lethargy. The album pairs nicely with rush hour traffic, or a bean bag. Float is a trio from Tyrone, Pennsylvania composed of Adam Stager (guitar, vocals), Antonio DiDomenico (bass, vocals) and Richard Stever (drums). The three have been friends since middle school and have been playing music together almost as long. Initially existing as a loose collective of friends making noise in the basement, Stager recorded the ramblings and christened the band “Franklin Delano Romanowski”, even creating a collage for the album cover with photographs of historic bearded men including: Salvador Dali, Grigori Rasputin, Walt Whitman, Ambrose Burnside, Orson Welles and Abner Doubleday. During the FDR era there was a spirited competition for the drum throne because no one actually knew how to play drums. Stever eventually won out most likely due to his proficiency at Rock Band drums on PS2. FDR existed in this capacity from 2008-2011 with Stager occasionally trying and failing to introduce songs he had written into the cacophony. In 2012 during attendance at Penn State University, Stager and Stever joined Stu & the Bailout Ps as the rhythm section and learned how to be in a band. After the Bailout Ps split up in May of 2013, Stager and Stever had a few new songs they had been working on and were joined by DiDomenico on bass shortly there after to complete the lineup we now know as Float. In the fall of 2015, Float released their debut album Time Lapse, relying upon a dichotomy of sound: fuzzy, blurry guitars contrast with crystal clean, quaint ones. Thumping, pounding and throbbing rhythms contrast with melodic, swinging grooves. The lyrics explore relationships between being and time, familiarity and distance, presence and absence, and ambiguity and clarity. Float is currently working on their follow up album. There is a place within each and every one of us, a place where our memories of child-like innocence run wild, a place of curiosity that has not been compartmentalized or compressed. As we get older, our lives are divided, sifted through and scattered about. A lot of us fall into a lap of complacency and forget our youthful dreams. But no matter how estranged from our original memories we are, there are small things that bring us back to the days when we smiled over how easy things could be. This is my Garden. It stands as a testament to each and every one of our youthful memories and sustaining the last inkling of childhood passion. Let these stories bring you back to your childhood. Hey there stranger. I'm Yellow, a young man who tends to quit his 'normal' jobs in pursuit of his passion. But let's be honest, can you blame me? The corporate world is my crutch at the moment. Every day, even when I have absolutely no time, I make beats, write lyrics, do photography, edit videos, design visuals and logos, draw, and make clothing with my team/family GlassHead. I put a lot of thought, passion, and dedication into my work. I'm trying to push us further along and get more shows, sell more merch, and spread our talent and ideas. Stay updated on my website GlassHead.org Love Yellow. P.S. Look Inside links Manoli Despines is a musician from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He thinks that speaking in the third person makes him seem more professional, but that's beside the point. The point is, Manoli has been listening to a wide variety of music for as long as he can remember. His first endeavor into the world of songwriting occurred early in his life, where he would sing and beatbox into a tape recorder. Manoli has since moved on from that form of high-class artistry (although we really can't be sure) and he is now experimenting in the genres of Ambient, Dream Pop, Indie, Post-Punk, Electronic, and Hip Hop (you could say he's a bit indecisive). His latest EP, titled "Maybe Everything Will Be Alright", is the best example of his genre-bending. Here, he blends elegant synths, echoey vocals, and smooth guitar, creating a lush and dreamy soundscape that will, hopefully, leave the listener in something akin to awe :P. He hopes that whoever listens to his music enjoys it as much as he had fun creating it. Saint Brendan & The Navigators Songwriting inspired by George Jones and Merle Haggard. Formative punk rock years in the late 90's and early 00's. Matured musicianship with retention of youthful energy. This has produced a rock band resembling the jangle and pop of The Replacements and The Lemonheads the twang of Uncle Tupelo and Ryan Adams, and the live energy of Dookie-era Green Day. Uwue (yoo-wuh) Caleb Cossick grew up in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Camp Hill is Uwue along with Lemoyne, New Cumberland, Highland Park, public parks, swings, trees, sidewalk, street lights, sunlight, breezes, memories, feelings of ecstacy, frustration, longing, and hope. Uwue is the music of Caleb Cossick. For Harrisburg singer/songwriter/multiinstrumentalist ZACKY, aka Zach Spellman, music is like a flea market. The best part of sifting and searching through countless mountains of handmades and handmedowns is finding something you didn't know you needed. It is flipping through stacks and racks of books and records and flipping out when you stumble onto something just for you. And when you find it, take it home, shine it up, and show it off. |
